Buckle Up! About California Safety Belt Laws – blog submitted by staging-vadusuxe.kinsta.cloud, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.

Did you know that in California:

  • Children must be properly secured in the back seat and in an approved child restraint system until they are 8 years old (CA Veh. Code 27360)
  • Children who are at least 8 years old and are under age 16 must be properly secured in either a child restraint system or a properly fitted safety belt (CA Veh. Code 27360.5)
  • Drivers of passenger vehicles are required to wear safety belts properly and to have passengers 16 or older properly restrained by safety belts (CA Veh. Code 27315)
  • Passengers 16 or older are required to wear safety belts in all vehicles and may be cited in addition to the driver (CA Veh. Code 27315)

Failing to have minors buckled in your vehicle can result in points being added to your driving record. –  blog submitted by staging-vadusuxe.kinsta.cloud, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.
