Presenting Proof of Insurance to an Officer Could Go Mobile
Presenting Proof of Insurance to an Officer Could Go Mobile-blog submitted by staging-vadusuxe.kinsta.cloud, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.
Everything is mobile now-a-days, why not your insurance card?
Existing law requires every driver and every owner of a motor vehicle to be able to establish financial responsibility and, at all times, carry in the vehicle evidence of a form of financial responsibility, and that upon the demand of a peace officer, that evidence of registration and proof of financial responsibility be provided by a person driving a motor vehicle.
The bill (AB 1708) would allow a person to provide evidence of financial responsibility, to an officer when requested, through the use of a mobile electronic device. This would mean no more tickets for not having a hard copy of your insurance card in your vehicle.
