California Tint Laws: What’s the effect on vehicles registered out of state? – blog submitted by staging-vadusuxe.kinsta.cloud, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.

What’s lawful in one state may not be lawful in another. Window tint is a good example of this.  In Arizona for example many vehicles come standard with window tint because of the harsh rays.  While it may be legal in your home state beware if driving through California.

The law on tint here doesn’t exclude vehicles registered in another state. Officers can use their discretion and let you off with a warning if you are only just passing through, but technically you can get a ticket.  Be aware of the local tint laws in your state: many states, like California, allow only very light tint or none at all on front windows.  Oh, and don’t rely on car detailers to tell you the legal amount of tint – after all they wouldn’t make very much if they only installed the legal tint limit. – blog submitted by staging-vadusuxe.kinsta.cloud, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.
