She writes “At the end of last year I got pulled over for speeding (84 miles) on a rainy day. I had no experience in how to try to explain to the Officer why I did what I did, just handed over the documents he asked for. Most speeding tickets, whether it be a basic speed law 22350 (VC) or 22349 (VC) exceeding the maximum posted speed of 65 MPH, are typically cases involving the use of speed asessment devices such as (Radar, Laser or Lidar). Did you know there are several requirements the officer must meet in order to use such a device? You would think that if you’re speed was clocked by such a unit, there would be no way to dismiss the citation.
