According to the Sacramento Bee, instead of hand writing tickets, Sacramento PD will use new electronic ticketing devices.

The good news, tickets will be a lot neater so you can actually read what’s on it, like what the officer said you did wrong and your court date.

The bad news? No more hoping the officer will forget to turn in your ticket or lose it on his way to the station.

Once the court has a copy of your ticket in their system the clock is ticking and you can’t ignore it. With this new technology, the court will automatically receive a copy of the ticket when the officer issued it. More and more police departments seem to be making the switch from writing tickets long hand. – blog submitted by staging-vadusuxe.kinsta.cloud, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.
