Green Light Given to Red Light Cameras by California Supreme Court
Green Light Given to Red Light Cameras by California Supreme Court – blog submitted by staging-vadusuxe.kinsta.cloud, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.
The long awaited question for Californians has been answered by the Supreme Court. The standard in traffic court is a judge, the defendant (ticketed driver), and the officer. In the case of a red light camera ticket, it has long been debated whether someone from the red light camera company (example Arizona based RedFlex) should be there as well, to testify and be questioned about the complexity of the red light camera systems. Despite the informality and speed of traffic ticket trials, the court has declined to make any special rules or changes for red light camera ticket trials. Testimony from a police officer in lieu of a red light camera company rep is adequate. Source: People v.
