License Requirements of Non – Residents Driving in CA

License Requirements of Non – Residents Driving in CA-blog submitted by staging-vadusuxe.kinsta.cloud, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.

Did you know that California does not recognize an “international driving permit” as a valid driver’s license? If you are pulled over and only have an international driving permit and no other license or permit then you can be cited for being an unlicensed driver which is a considered a misdemeanor, a more serious offense then an infraction.

California does however consider an international driver license as a valid license as well as driver licenses issued by other states. It is important to know that the non- California license issued by another state is only valid if you are a resident of the issuing jurisdiction. If you have taken up residence in California then you will be required to have a California license and the non- California License will not be considered valid. –  blog submitted by staging-vadusuxe.kinsta.cloud, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.
