The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has revealed it would like to see a full ban of all types of cell phone use while driving. This would include texting or talking, handheld OR hands free. Before you panic, know that no one has made this the law as of yet.
The NTSB has statistics which show how highway casualties and fatalities increase when drivers are distracted and feel a complete ban on all cell phone use while driving would cut down on distracted driving and save lives.
While many states in the US have laws regulating the manner in which a cell phone may be used while driving, none have gone so far as to restrict even hands free use.
While NTSB’s recommendation, may influence some state legislatures to strengthen their current laws on cell phone use or encourage states who have no cell phone bans at all to enact one, a country wide all out ban is unrealistic and would be difficult to enforce since public policy would require people be allowed to still use their phone in emergency situations. – blog submitted by staging-vadusuxe.kinsta.cloud, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.
