Regulations for Operation of Driverless Cars in Early Stages of Development– blog submitted by staging-vadusuxe.kinsta.cloud, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.
Two years back Governor Brown signed a bill to allow for autonomous vehicles. California’s Department of Motor Vehicles announced plans to develop a set of regulations related to the operation of these driverless cars.
A Public Workshop was scheduled this month to address key topics like:
· requirements that would be necessary to operate a self–driving or autonomous vehicle
· whether autonomous vehicles will be operated without a driver present in the vehicle
· operator knowledge and skill requirements
· safety standards
· evidence of insurance or bond requirements
· vehicle registration requirements
In addition to these preliminary public workshops, the DMV notes that anyone interested will have the ability to provide comments during the formal regulation process when the DMV publishes the actual proposed text of the regulations. – blog submitted by staging-vadusuxe.kinsta.cloud, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.
