State Offers Limited Time Discount for Those with Old Unpaid Tickets

State Offers Limited Time Discount for Those with Old Unpaid Tickets –blog submitted by staging-vadusuxe.kinsta.cloud, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.

The New Year brings good news for those who have old unpaid traffic tickets looming overhead.

The State of California started a new amnesty program (effective January 1, 2012) which allows for people with traffic tickets that were due prior to January 1, 2009, to pay their outstanding fine before June 30, 2012 and get a whopping discount. That’s right under the amnesty program your old ticket will be half off if paid before the end of June. What’s more, the 50% discount applies to not only the original base fine, but also any additional penalties and court fees.

To be eligible you cannot owe restitution to any victim on any case that was also filed in the same county your traffic ticket was filed, you cannot have any outstanding misdemeanor or felony warrants in the county where the ticket was filed, and if your ticket was for a DUI, reckless driving, or parking, those are not eligible for the discount given under the program. –  blog submitted by staging-vadusuxe.kinsta.cloud, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.
